Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

ECW is the gathering of all women in the parish to express their love of God through doing His work. ECW was founded at the general convention of The Episcopal Church in 1874. Today many Episcopal parishes have an active ECW that carries out programs for the parish and community, including programs for women. St. Andrew’s ECW meets on the first Tuesday of the month. It sponsors an annual women’s Lenten Retreat, contributes to charitable organizations both locally and nationally (e.g. Washington National Cathedral), provides food for special occasions, hosts game nights for parishioners, and coordinates coffee hour.
