Beginning with the September issue of The Shield, most parishioners will be reading the parish newsletter online. To read this first e-Shield, click here.

The September calendar and schedule are also available online. If you wish to be added to the parish email distribution list for The Shield, send email to the church office at andrewssec@sbcglobal.net.

Fall is just around the corner and the summer schedule -- one Sunday service at 9 a.m. -- will soon be ending.

Starting Sept. 12, Holy Eucharist will be held at both 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. with child care services available starting at 9:15 a.m..

The 8 a.m. Holy Eucharist will be Rite I, spoken, and the 10 a.m. Rite II, sung. For more information, check the church calendar here or call the church at 656-1929.

The second walkabout session of candidates for Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield takes place on September 2 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 10 East Third Street, in Alton. This walkabout location is the closest to St. Andrew’s.

The walkabout will begin with devotions, introductions and instructions.
All three candidates for Bishop will be present.

Each candidate will meet separately with those attending and participate in a 30 minute session. Following the interview of all three candidates, coffee and refreshments will be served. More information is available on the Diocese website.
